In this talk, I address the urgent crisis our education system is facing in the wake of AI-driven automation. I argue that the traditional model of schooling—built for the Industrial Revolution and focused on memorization—is now obsolete because machines have mastered knowledge recall.
I explain that human competence must be redefined. We can no longer measure potential by how well a student retains information, but rather by their ability to ask the right questions, innovate, and exercise creativity. I highlight a disturbing trend: despite technology making it easier than ever to start a business, entrepreneurship rates are at historic lows, proving that we are failing to cultivate true initiative.
Finally, I propose a new path forward. Instead of banning AI, I call on educators, governments, and employers to restructure education from the ground up. I outline three essential skills for the future: discernment, integration, and augmentation, and urge everyone to view this technological disruption not as a threat, but as a vital wakeup call to rebuild how we learn.
I sincerely thank Bodhi International school and my mentor, Ma'am Rashi Rohatgi, for this opportunity.
